We are partnering with a long-term specialist Disability Service provider operating out of Wallaroo , and we have plenty of work opportunities currently available within their Learning Experiences Centre (Day Programs)

What you need:

• Experience supporting people with complex physical & intellectual disabilities
• Australian Driver’s License – South Australian class C
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Manual handling Training
• Medication Training Face to Face training
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Working with Children Check (paid employment)
• Reliable smart phone with data

Overview of the role:

• Assist NDIS clients to participate in various indoor and outdoor activities such as art, music & to help develop their independent living skills.
• Weekday shifts available, Mon – Fri, 9:00am – 3:00pm (Day shifts)
• Work a combination of emergency on-call and pre-planned shifts
• Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
• Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
• Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
• Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
• Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
