  • Protect the participant’s dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times

About the role

  • Shifts start short and build up gradually as the participant gets to know you
  • You’ll introduce yourself with an “About Me” profile, so we match you with shared interests
  • You’ll be supported by a dedicated Team Leader, an Operations Manager and an on-call team

What you’ll need

  • Experience supporting young adults with intellectual disability (disability support, community services or similar)
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A Working With Children Check
  • A driver’s licence and a reliable car with comprehensive insurance
  • Strong, clear communication, and comfort with direct feedback from the participant and her family
  • Resilience, a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
  • The physical fitness and manual handling skills for a role that includes hands-on support

Desirable

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related field
  • Experience with behaviours of concern or anxiety
  • Medication administration training

What we offer
