About Kuttabul Health Centre Kuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and the area itself has been host to a naval base since 1856. It is home to Fleet Support Unit South-East (FSU-SE) which conducts maintenance on ships and submarines. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy services to the ADF population. This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.

What you’ll do

• Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
• Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
• Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
• occasion travel required to go to Waterhen, Penguin & Richmond during working hours in defence Vehicle
• telehealth not clinical setting, its an office setting
• Admin/Case Management Position

What You Bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• One of the following:
• ACMHN credentialed
• Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
• Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
• Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
• Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
