About the role
At Chrome Health, we believe great behaviour support starts with seeing the person. Not just the behaviour.
We’re looking for an accredited Behaviour Support Practitioner who wants to do meaningful, person-centred work while being trusted to use their clinical expertise, build genuine relationships and make a real difference in people’s everyday lives.
You’ll work alongside participants, families, support networks and other professionals to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, identify unmet needs and develop practical strategies that support greater independence, choice, participation and quality of life.
Your work may take you across home, school, SIL and community settings – wherever you can have the most meaningful impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and developing individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
- Using Positive Behaviour Support to develop proactive, preventative and practical strategies
- Supporting participants with communication, emotional regulation, independence and everyday skill development
- Working collaboratively with families, carers, support workers and other professionals
- Providing practical training, coaching and guidance to support teams
- Reviewing outcomes, using clinical reasoning and adapting strategies as needs change
- Supporting the reduction and prevention of restrictive practices wherever possible
- Building genuine relationships with participants and ensuring their voice, strengths, preferences and goals remain at the centre of your work
- Managing your own caseload while having the support, connection and clinical guidance of a collaborative team
What we’re looking for
- ———————
You’re a Behaviour Support Practitioner who cares about doing good work, not just getting work done.
You’ll bring:
- Accredited Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability
- Relevant qualifications and experience in behaviour support
- Strong Functional Behaviour Assessment, clinical reasoning, report writing and BSP development skills
- Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs
- A strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and evidence-informed practice
- A commitment to trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, strengths-based and person-centred practice
- Confidence working autonomously and managing your own caseload
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, reflective and curious approach to your practice
Most importantly, you’ll want to understand the person behind the behaviour and create support that actually makes a difference in their life.
Why Chrome Health?
- —————–
At Chrome Health, we believe behaviour is communication.
Our approach starts with understanding the person behind the behaviour – their experiences, communication, needs, strengths and what matters most to them.
We take the time to understand what’s happening, why it’s happening and what meaningful change could look like for each person. From there, we work alongside participants and their support networks to create practical, person-centred strategies that support greater choice, independence and quality of life.
We want Chrome Health to be somewhere great clinicians can do great work without burning themselves out in the process.
That means:
- Flexibility that supports your life, not the other way around
- Sustainable caseloads that allow you to focus on quality
- Autonomy and trust – we hire professionals and trust them to be professionals
- Clinical support and professional development to keep growing your practice
- A genuinely collaborative team where you can ask questions, share ideas and learn from others
- Room to grow as Chrome Health grows
- Meaningful work where you can see the difference you’re making
Come and do work that matters.
If you’re looking for a role where your clinical expertise is valued, your voice is heard and you can make a genuine difference – we’d love to hear from you.
