About the role

As a Support Worker with MSMW, you will provide person-centered care tailored to individual client needs. You will deliver high-quality support to clients with complex needs, including those with mental health challenges and behaviours of concern.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality support to clients with complex needs
• Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, daily living activities, and community access
• Empowering clients to grow their independence and confidence
• Managing behaviours of concern with professionalism, patience, and heart
• Maintaining accurate progress notes and communicating effectively with families and care teams

About you

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in disability support
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• A strong understanding of behaviour support plans, a calm demeanour, and exceptional communication skills
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & National Police Check
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Medication Assistance Certificate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
