We’re offering an exciting full-time opportunity for a passionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) to become a valued member of our dynamic and supportive WeCare CHC team. No prior experience is necessary — full training will be provided for the right candidate.

This is a varied and rewarding role, perfect for someone eager to contribute to the wellbeing of our large enrolled patient population. You’ll play an important part in supporting our clinics and your colleagues, helping us deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

About the role

Our Health Care Assistants play a valued and integral role within our clinical support staff and the wider WeCare team. Operating as a seamless extension of our clinical, customer care and administrative teams, you’ll take on a diverse range of responsibilities. Your daily tasks will range from supporting our clinicians — completing blood tests, ECGs and observations — through to some healthcare administration, reception cover, processing and sterilising instruments, stock ordering and management, daily clinic set-up, weekly clinic and equipment checks, and maintaining a pristine clinic environment. It’s an exciting, diverse and fast-paced role.

You’ll form part of our collaborative care team, made up of Health Care Assistants, Medical Associates, Receptionists, Administrators and dedicated clinicians including Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Nurse Prescribers, Nurse Practitioners, General Practitioners, Physician Associates and Pharmacists. At WeCare, our culture is high-performance teamwork — we seek people who are diligent, committed and ready to collaborate seamlessly with their colleagues to deliver superior access for patients.

The WeCare Way — you’ll thrive here if you live our values

We look for people who embody our three core values — Empowered, Collaborative and Growth-minded:

  • Empowered — You’re committed to doing what’s best for the patient, trusted to resolve problems and use good judgement, and you take ownership so every patient walks out having had a positive healthcare experience.
  • Collaborative — You combine your strengths with your colleagues, share knowledge, give and receive honest feedback, and treat everyone with respect while working toward our common goal: superior access for patients.
  • Growth-minded — You want to grow and improve yourself, you welcome feedback and training as opportunities, and you push the people around you to grow and develop too.

You’ll be set up for success if you:

  • Are motivated and driven — you want to succeed as part of our WeCare team
  • Have a genuine passion for helping people
  • Are kind and courteous, with an excellent manner with colleagues and patients
  • Are flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude
  • Are able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Are resilient, ambitious and forward-thinking
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Are willing and able to learn, undertake training, and adapt to a changing environment

  • Market-leading pay rates
  • Birthdays off additional leave days
  • Free EAP services for staff members
  • Quarterly workshops, raffles & team building events
  • Coffee shouts & morning teas
  • Free family healthcare at WeCare clinics
