Supporting Abilities For Everyone (S.A.F.E) is seeking an experienced disability support worker for a male participant in The Basin, VIC

About Participant:

• 40 year old male participant with MND diagnosis
• Support requirements: assistance around the house/domestic assistance, possibly handyman tasks/projects.
• Participant Interests: owns a construction business

About You:

• Male support worker
• Handyman experience highly advantageous but not required
• Can use initiative
• MND experience advantageous but not a requirement
• Willingness to perform personal care at a later date when required

Shifts Available:

• Wednesday’s 10:00 am – 1:00 pm or 2:00 pm.
• Support requirements expected to increase over time as diagnosis progresses.

Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old).
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
• Valid Australian Driver’s License.
• A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
• The right to work in Australia.

Pay: $41.00 — $80.00 per hour
