Female Support Worker — Friendly, Reliable & Professional

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, friendly and reliable Female Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality support to a participant in a respectful and professional manner.

We are looking for someone who is not only experienced in support work, but who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes initiative and can build a positive and trusting relationship with the participant.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Friendly, approachable and caring, with a warm and positive personality
  • Reliable and punctual — we value people who arrive on time and can be counted on
  • Proactive and able to take initiative, rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Professional and respectful in all interactions
  • Patient, understanding and able to communicate effectively
  • Able to build a strong rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Observant and able to identify when a participant may need additional support
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to providing person-centred support and promoting the participant’s independence and choice

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support based on the participant’s individual needs and goals
  • Assist with daily activities and community participation
  • Encourage independence, confidence and social engagement
  • Follow the participant’s support plan and agreed routines
  • Take initiative to identify appropriate activities and opportunities
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Complete accurate shift notes and communicate important information to the coordination team
  • Work collaboratively with the participant, family and other members of the support team

What We Value

We are looking for someone who sees support work as more than just completing a shift. The right person will genuinely care about the participant’s wellbeing, be dependable, use good judgement and take pride in providing quality support.

If you are friendly, reliable, proactive, punctual and professional, we would love to hear from you.

Relevant qualifications, experience and NDIS-related checks will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
